Sunway Velocity Two, recently completed in the bustling heart of Kuala Lumpur, is a key residential development featuring Towers C and D. We were tasked with designing the interiors for 12 communal facilities that balance functionality, aesthetics, and inclusivity. These spaces promote relaxation, activity, and connection, catering to the diverse needs of residents and their families, emphasizing sustainability and community engagement.

Founded in 2010, MIL Design and Construction is a dynamic, award-winning Malaysia-based company, offering comprehensive interior design consultancy and design and build services. We are CIDB registered.

Mission

Our core mission is to transform spaces into captivating stories and human-driven touches. Co-founded by husband-and-wife duo Mak Mil Yung and Edward Lye, the company brings together an impressive collective experience of 25 years each in the fields of architecture and project management. Be it residential or commercial ventures, MIL Design thrives on the pursuit of uniqueness, collaborating closely with clients to craft spaces that truly reflect their personality, individuality, and brand essence.

Team

Our dedicated team encompasses carpenters, in-house designers, project managers, and specialized trade and technical teams. Our directors, Mil, Edward, have individually led prestigious design projects. Mil has led residential projects for Tan Sri Halim Saad, AIMST Medical University, and luxury resorts and hotels across Southeast Asia.

Paper to Site

Our extensive portfolio includes high-end private home designs for prominent clients such as ex-bank governor Tan Sri Zeti Aziz, ex-Shell CEO, and Anggiri Resort Group Maldives founder. We specialize in creating sophisticated, purpose-driven spaces that seamlessly integrate family lifestyles, green living, and sustainable design.

Clients & Achievements

On the commercial front, we have completed notable projects such as Gamuda’s award-winning Highpark Suites, corporate offices, hotels, sales galleries, show houses, and the Gamuda Enabling Academy—a modern, sustainable training school for youths with autism.

Recent accolades include DOTY Awards, Atap Awards, Tatler feature, MIID Awards for categories such as Best Show Unit Award, Best Public Space Award, Best Institutional Space Award, Best Residential Award, Best Residential below £1M (UK), and Best Civic Space (A-Award Milan). These achievements highlight our success both locally and internationally.
