​Project Overview

Sunway Velocity Two, situated in the vibrant heart of Kuala Lumpur, is a landmark residential development featuring Towers C and D. MIL Design & Construction was commissioned to design the 13 common facilities across the development, with a clear brief from the client: to create a sustainable urban oasis that balances functionality, aesthetics, and inclusivity. The goal was to craft spaces that seamlessly blend relaxation, activity, and connection, addressing the diverse needs of residents, their families, and friends. From personal wellness to community engagement, these spaces redefine the essence of urban living while embracing sustainability and community-driven placemaking.

Design Philosophy

Guided by the “Urban Oasis” concept, the design harmonizes modern urbanity with the tranquility of nature. Organic elements, natural tones, and seamless indoor-outdoor transitions underpin the project’s aesthetic. A strong emphasis on placemaking ensures that each space fosters human-centric design, cultivating a sense of belonging and encouraging social engagement across all age groups.

Thirteen Thoughtfully Designed Spaces

The project encompasses 13 distinct areas, each designed to support diverse lifestyle needs and create meaningful experiences for users of all ages.

Lobby Areas (Towers C & D)
Sophisticated yet welcoming, the lobbies feature timber, stone, and curated lighting. High-Volume Low-Speed (HVLS) fans and open layouts promote natural ventilation, ensuring energy efficiency and comfort.
 

Reading Room
More than just a reading space, it is designed for multi-generational use, featuring playful nooks for children, hot-desking zones for students, and quiet areas for adults. Lower, padded seating enhances safety for young children, while ergonomic desks cater to professionals seeking focus with panoramic garden views.

Games Room
A vibrant, flexible space with magnetic walls for children and multi-functional seating clusters, the games room fosters interaction across generations, accommodating casual hangouts and private gatherings.

Gym and Yoga Room
Designed for holistic well-being, the gym features cutting-edge equipment and integrated storage, while the tranquil yoga space offers a Zen-inspired retreat with garden views.
Co-Working Spaces
Designed for versatility, the co-working space caters to different workstyles with public gathering areas, quiet WorkPods for focus, and private meeting rooms equipped with writing walls and projectors—perfect for meetings or even tuition classes for residents.
Executive Kitchen
A modern concept restaurant-style space where residents can host private events and  luncheons. Featuring full-height glass offering panoramic KL Tower views, elegant lighting, and a long island bar, the space comfortably accommodates up to 50 guests.
Karaoke Rooms
These spaces are designed as vibrant entertainment hubs, offering flexible seating, moody lighting, and acoustically treated interiors. Whether for small private gatherings or larger social events, they provide an ideal setting for leisure and celebration.
Sky Gardens and Outdoor Spaces
Elevated green spaces provide serene retreats and social gathering spots, seamlessly blending into the indoor environment with natural airflow and stunning skyline views.
 

Sustainability at Its Core

Aligned with Green Building Index (GBI) principles, sustainability is embedded in every aspect of the project:

• Natural Ventilation: HVLS fans, large patio openings, and cross-ventilation reduce energy usage while maximizing comfort.

• Eco-Friendly Materials: Low-impact materials such as vinyl flooring were selected for durability and sustainability.

• Efficient Processes: From material selection to waste disposal, sustainability was prioritized throughout the project lifecycle

Fostering Connection and Inclusivity

Placemaking is at the heart of Sunway Velocity Two’s design. Barrier-free accessibility ensures ease of movement for strollers and wheelchairs, while spaces like the reading room and co-working area are tailored to accommodate the evolving lifestyles of a diverse community.

Sunway Velocity Two redefines urban living by blending sustainability, functionality, and inclusivity. Through thoughtful design, placemaking, and community-focused planning, the project creates an enduring urban oasis where relaxation, activity, and connection come together to elevate the quality of life for its residents.
